Methods / not off the shelf
The right question shapes the method.
Sensors are a means to an end. We connect the inspection objective, material, access, measurement method and limits of interpretation into a traceable engineering process.
From the actual problem to the method
Understand first. Then measure.
We do not apply every method to every problem. Before deployment, we establish which question needs an answer, which data can support it and what the method explicitly cannot tell us.
- 01
Inspection objective
Which decision depends on this investigation?
- 02
Access
How can people and equipment reach the location safely?
- 03
Acquisition
Which measurement supports the conclusion?
- 04
Evidence
How do data, location and assessment stay connected?
Modules / combinations with a purpose
Strong individually. Reliable together.
This selection is a proposed approach. Availability, access, measurement conditions and technical suitability are established separately for every project.
01
Visual + laserSurface, geometry, profile and images with a traceable position.02
MagneticMetal, position, material changes and supplementary condition information.03
Acoustics + ultrasoundSignals, events, time of flight and internal structure in the appropriate context.04
Thickness + thermographyLayers, remaining cross-section, temperature and areas of interest.05
MonitoringVibration, climate and repeated observations over a defined period.06
Digital evidencePosition, raw data, engineering assessment, replay and reporting stay connected.
Digital evidence
From technology to evidence.
Video, signals, measurements, position and engineering commentary are handed over together. AI can help organise anomalies for review. Qualified people remain responsible for engineering approval.
